NASM Certified Personal Trainer in Del Mar – My passion for sports started in childhood while playing competitive soccer. In high school I played field hockey and was a two-year varsity captain, MVP, and made the Olympic development team. After high school I coached eight years of field hockey. In college I earned a bachelors degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy. Currently I am a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and work as a functional fitness trainer. My approach to fitness is integrating functional fitness and strength training.

    Hello, I am Emely Gonzalez, a personal trainer and health coach based in North County San Diego. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Community Health Education from California State University, Long Beach, and I am a NASM certified personal trainer. I am bilingual in both English and Spanish and can provide training in Spanish as well.

    My fitness journey started at a very young age when I started playing all types of sports; I played soccer, basketball, softball, cheer, etc.; however, I chose to pursue soccer at the Community College level. Although my college career was short lived due to injuries, it led me to find my passion for strength training. I believe that a strong mind is the key to a strong body; I started training to make my body strong and prevent injuries, and what I found was that in the process I developed a stronger mind. As a vegetarian and newly found pescetarian, finding foods that helped me reach my goals was not always easy, I have spent numerous hours finding clean and quality foods that fuel my body.
