Personal Trainer in Del Mar – Hello Ladies and Gents! I am Eli Harned and my areas of focus are Strength and Conditioning, Bodybuilding, Nutrition, and Personal Growth. Born and raised in the small town of Berea, Kentucky, I decided I wanted to try something new so I joined the Marine Corps and off to California I went! Once I completed my Active Duty service honorably, I ended up staying in Del Mar where I couldn’t be happier. My path to personal training began during my service in the Marine Corps. Those years instilled in me the values of discipline, hard work, and unwavering determination. Little did I know, these qualities would shape my approach to helping others achieve their fitness goals.As my fitness journey originally started around ten years ago, I finally decided to turn my passion for fitness into a career after being in a career where I was miserable and woke up every morning already hoping my shift was over. I decided enough was enough, I was tired of being unhappy so I threw myself into learning everything I could about exercise, nutrition, and overall well-being. My goal was simple: to guide people on their journey to a better body, better mentality, and not only a sense of accomplishment but the results to go along with it! One of the key principles I live by is the “Day One” mentality. I firmly believe that change doesn’t have to wait for a special moment—it can start right now. I encourage everyone to embrace this idea, knowing that small steps lead to significant transformations. In life there are many ebbs and flows in many different aspects. However your body, mind, and soul will always be in YOUR control. Life moves fast so instead of waiting for “One Day” to come, make the choice and let’s get started with “Day One”Through personalized fitness plans, nutritional guidance, and unwavering support, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing countless life transformations. I moved down to San Diego this past year in hopes to start my own personal training business. I started playing sports at age 4 and my passion for movement and health has only progressed since. I have always been very athletic and competitive in the best way. My love for sports starting at a young age made me realize how important exercise and nutrition is. It excited me to learn new things that could help me mentally and physically.I always had the idea that I was going to college to play soccer and major in kinesiology and sports medicine until covid happened. Therefore my whole entire plan shifted. While training during the summer to be prepared for my college soccer season, I fell in love with personal training. My mom being a personal trainer herself really inspired me to follow in her footsteps, which led me to not take the traditional route that I was supposed to and start my new path. Having my mom and many other mentors in my life that are all involved in the fitness space made me even more driven and inspired to follow this dream of mine and turn it into something.What I love to focus on in training sessions are strength and functional mobility training. When being new to the gym I feel functional mobility is key to focus on to get clients comfortable with the whole training process and their body movement. I also am very knowledgeable with strength training, being an athlete my whole life, and wanting to build more muscle so clients feel stronger and more confident in their own bodies.I have been a personal trainer since September of 2022, I have trained friends and clients my mom could not fit in her schedule and have heard all good feedback. I may not have a lot of experience with clients yet, but that doesn't mean I am not knowledgeable in what I do, and am always wanting to learn more to incorporate into my business.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
