English: I am an ACE certified personal trainer since May 2022 and RYT 200 certified yoga teacher since September 2023 with 6 years of dedicated training and education. I’ve worked with many clients over the past year of different ages, races, and genders to help them achieve goals such as overcoming physical limitations, developing stronger cores, being more functionally fit, and losing weight. Until my late 20’s, I didn’t play any sports, I averaged 15 hours of screen time per day due to work and leisure. As a young professional, I was feeling burnt out many times from my 80-hour work weeks while running startup businesses, which eventually resulted in me hitting my rock bottom.

Since 2017, in an attempt to get out of rock bottom and to change my lifestyle, I tried various sports such as racing on dragon boat teams, boxing, snowboarding, sailing, rock climbing and bouldering. I realized that all of these activities I enjoyed required a certain level of physical fitness and strength, as well as my dream of traveling the world and running more startups in the future. I started to invest in myself, with the first step being investing in my physical fitness. I stepped into a gym for the first time in June 2018, and started strength training regularly since then. I worked with 5 different personal trainers over the next years and this experience changed my life. Now I am strong enough to pursue my dreams and the sports I enjoy. This experience made me decide to transition my career and get certified to help transform more lives through personal training.

I bring over a decade of experience in education, serving 5000+ students and professionals from 25+ countries. Beyond my fitness career, I served as a dedicated police officer for a decade in the Chicago area. During my tenure, I assumed the role of fitness instructor for the police department, training officers to excel in their quarterly fitness exams and the rigorous testing for new recruits. I was also an avid martial artist and obtained a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. I was asked to audition for a fighting game in the early 1990’s called Mortal Kombat. I was eventually cast as the characters, Sub Zero, unmasked Sub Zero and Scorpion as well as all the ninja’s.

What often goes unnoticed is my personal battle with an eating disorder, which developed due to the extreme dietary demands of my professional fitness lifestyle. I struggled with binge eating, a powerful adversary that continues to challenge me to this day. However, I’ve developed effective strategies to manage this condition. There were times when I would consume an entire box of a dozen “Dove bars” in a single sitting or find myself overindulging at all-you-can-eat buffet-style restaurants, with Las Vegas being a particularly challenging environment. I would leave these experiences feeling defeated and depressed. To counteract this, I would embark on intense, hours-long workouts in the hotel gym to offset my excessive food consumption. This cycle was not only emotionally draining but also potentially life-threatening.

I am a nutrition and wellness consultant who has always had a passion for fitness. Native to Southern California, I was born in Los Angeles, eventually making my way to San Diego to attend the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree. Early on in my studies I made some necessary changes to my nutrition and motivated by the results I started to see, it fueled my confidence to join a fitness facility. I immediately discovered I loved the way exercise made me feel. I was more positive after a demanding workout. I had more energy. My sleep quality improved. I am a competitive NPC bikini bodybuilder with ten years of experience in the sport. I am a five time bikini bodybuilding champion and a six time national qualifier. I have been in the fitness scene for an ongoing 20 years now! Growing up in competitive sports and then transitioning to resistance training, fitness has been a part of my life basically since I was born! It has always been a passion of mine to serve others, so I started sharing my fitness knowledge online back in 2018 and knew from early on that I wanted to pursue a career in this field. Since then, I have continued my formal education by obtaining a B.S. in Kinesiology as a Fitness Specialist and NASM Personal Training certification.

Now let’s be honest, being a woman in the fitness scene is just different than it is for a man! No matter how many times we deny it(like I used to), there are simply more complexities for us when it comes to being a woman in fitness.
